As a follow up to Crisis Level Epsilon...

I went to court today with my wife to attempt to get some of the charges dismissed as a result of my own mistakes.  The judge listened intently as I explained how the last couple of months had gone between the gallstones and the kidney stones and everything else.  I made sure to emphasize that this was my responsibility, period.

His response, "We're gonna dismiss this one and that one and you'll still need to pay that one but they may dismiss this one too.  I probably shouldn't do that but it sounds like you've had a rough enough time."

My response, "It's been one of those years."

In total, I think he dismissed about $1,000.00.  It could've been alot worse.  My thanks to him and his compassion for those of who are having a rough enough time.
